DVF Pattern Inspiration

Last week I began following Diane von Furstenburg (@DVF) on Instagram and they’ve been posting some really interesting photos. I love fashion brands that use Instragram, Tumblr, Facebook etc. to give fans a unique behind the scenes look at the brand. DVF does this quite well, and even shares a “Print of the Week” from their pattern/textile library. As a textile/pattern design lover I get so excited when they post them.

How great are these patterns? The first one is hands down my favorite! If I was a girl I’d dress ALL in graphic patterns.

I love seeing how they mix patterns and textiles at DVF. It’s a tricky business and they do it so well!

The Art of DVF

I remember seeing these ads in magazines years ago, 2008 I think it was. While interning at DVF, I’ve seen more of the art in the office, and these pictures are stunning. I love how the artist mixes photography, painting, and typography. I got to see almost all of them yesterday since I had to mount all the campaigns on cardstock. Oh the joys of interning. At least I have pretty things to look at

New Job at DVF!

As many of you know, last week I started interning at Diane von Furstenburg as their Graphic Design Intern. Last week was Fashion Week, so things were pretty crazy. As of now, I’m just coming in two days a week to help with odds and ends, but later in March I’m hoping to come in just about everyday. The DVF studio is an amazing space, and I wanted to share some of the photos.  Art is everywhere, lots of Warhols, fashion photos, pink accent walls, and crystals or mirros on the ceiling and some of the walls. Enjoy the pictures!
