It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. – Jane Austin | Pride & Prejudice
I was in Urban Outfitters, and I stumbled across this copy of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, with a cover designed by Ruben Toledo. He’s one of my FAVORITE illustrators, and I instantly recognized his work. I ended up judging a book by its cover and purchased it. I’m actually going to read it as well. In the introduction to the book, it says R. Toledo was commissioned to design a series of classic books for Penguin Publishing, so I’d love to find which other books he designed.
Don’t these covers make reading more fun? The design of the book inside is pretty fun as well!
